Town Manager's Office

Welcome to the Town of Plainville's website. This site has been created to support our fundamental belief that it is our responsibility to provide services second to none for all the citizens of Plainville. Only through commitment over time can we achieve quality of service that is provided to the citizens of Plainville.

With that in mind, the Town Manager oversees the day-to-day Town operations, insures financial stability, fosters sound financial management practices, and maintains the Town's overall commitment to providing quality services to the Plainville community. As Chief Executive Officer for the Town, the Town Manager is responsible for all Town employees and acts to appoint, remove, and fix their compensation (subject to budgeting limitations). The Town Manager is also the Local Traffic Authority.

The Town Manager attends all Council meetings, and has the right of full participation except for the right to vote. In addition, the Town Manager is responsible for producing an annual town budget.

The Town Manager maintains an "open door" policy and is available to the members of the Town Council, the department heads and employees, and the members of the general public who wish to sit down and talk about any issue of concern.
