Transfer Station Hours 2025
The Town's Transfer Station will open on Saturday, April 5th 2025
During the spring when the Transfer Station located at 23 Granger Lane in Plainville opens, the hours of operation are Saturdays ONLY from 8am-3pm (*exact opening and closing dates are determined yearly. Normally the first Saturday in December is the last day the Transfer Station is opened before the winter season (weather permitting*). The Transfer Station is for Town of Plainville residents only and an ID is required.If a new resident just moved to Plainville and currently does not have an updated ID with their Plainville address, the resident should bring their current picture ID and some form of mail addressed to them with their new Plainville address.
NO commercial vehicles or businesses.
Plainville does not offer transfer station permits or passes, but there is sometimes a FEE for disposal of items depending on the item(s). Please refer to theTransfer Station Ordinancefor fees and a list of items accepted and not accepted. Plainville residents can dispose of electronics (also known as e-waste) at the Transfer Station** free of charge.
